Lecturing for HMPS

Wednesday, June 19th, 2013

I have now started a programme teaching Graphic Design at HMP Coldingley in Surrey. The course will involve teaching adults, youth offenders and lifers in a category c prison setting giving offenders the relevant qualifications and skills to make positive changes in their lives. One of the many challenges facing offenders is employment after release and hopefully the skills that I am teaching will at least make a difference to the few that want to change for the better. I will update on this over the coming months.

Goldsmiths Degree Show

Wednesday, June 19th, 2013

Last week I had the honor of being invited to the Goldsmiths Degree Show. I felt very proud indeed to see all the 3rd years work sitting proudly on the walls of the Media and Comms Department. If you are south of the river you should definitely stop by to check the work, I can honestly say the quality this year is outstanding.

I said goodbye to 3rd year illustrators today as we framed up their final artwork for the degree show in July. I’m genuinely sad to say bye to this bunch who have made the past 10 weeks so much fun. For the first year these guys will be producing an illustration publication to showcase their work. The quality of work produced this year is incredible, canne wait for the final show.

The workshops were great fun with lots of amazing creations made!
